His Holiness Sadgurudev Brahmeshanandacharya Acharya Swamiji’s message on the occasion of the Diwali festival

The festival of Diwali has been inspired by sages in our religion. When we celebrate Diwali, the bright light in front of us should portray to us that we should live a life of sacrifice, we should live for society, and giving up selfishness is the root of the Diwali festival. This flame never lives for itself, it works to give light to all, Hindu society should think about its religion instead of thinking about itself.

Diwali has Gurudwadashi, Dhantrayodashi, Narak Chaturdashi, Lakshmi Pujan, Padwa, and Bhaubij. There are many such festivals, which are said to be the worship of “Teja”. What should be done to light the lamp? To instill in the minds and intellects of the little children in your home some devotional love, embrace religion, and create such perseverance that this lamp towards religion and God will never go out. This is the lamp in your house. We should look at this lamp on this Diwali to see if it will really illuminate our clan or not. We must cherish this lamp, we must live as a lamp for our clan, as dazzling, and we all must light these lamps. If we say Hindu, then everyone should be able to worship this Teja.

This festival of Diwali reminds us of this brilliance. The message of dedicating life to Teja should be taken from the Diwali festival. That means dedicating your life to “Teja”. May this Diwali bring joy and happiness to all. Happy Diwali, Eternal Blessings of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth.
